MAKE PAYMENT TO CONFIRM  

1. Do I need to make a payment now to confirm my application?

2. Does payment confirm the application?

Yes, if you are applying to any of the following programmes: Data Science, Data Analytics, Salesforce Administrator, Back-End Web development, Front-End web development or AWS Cloud Computing, payment is required to confirm your participation in the programme.
If you are applying for the AI Career Essential programmes, you are not required to make payment. For more information, please review our  payment terms and conditions.

MAKING THE NEXT PAYMENT 

3. Where do I make the second fee payment? The link on the acceptance page says I have already made the payment, and hence there is no option to make the payment.

● If the learner chooses monthly payment.

All subsequent payments will be billed monthly, which is 10 days before the first of the following month. If the initial payment has been made via Card, the fees will be deducted automatically as per the dates mentioned above. Once payment is processed, you will receive a payment confirmation for each billing cycle.

● If the learner chooses to make payment in two instalments.

The second instalment is due 2 months after you start your programme. You will receive an email reminder with details on making that payment.

4. I made the monthly payment but I want to clear the remaining payment once, is that possible?

This is not possible at the moment, but we are looking into how to offer this in the future. For more information, please review our payment terms and conditions.

PAYMENTS IN ETHIOPIA 

6. I’m from Ethiopia and I’d like to find alternative payment methods where I am not using a card as I don’t have one.

8. Can Ethiopians now pay in their local currency?

We are currently working to implement a local currency payment option using a local payment platform. We are working to make this additional payment option available before the program starts in March. If you’re accepted into our programme, rest assured we will send you a direct payment link as soon as the setup is completed.

PAYMENT NOT REFLECTING/ NOT GOING THROUGH 

9. I was making a payment via Flutterwave for the data analysis programme on Mpesa. The payment went through on my phone but the same has not been reflected on the portal.

10. How can I confirm that my payment is successful?

Please ensure that you have allowed sufficient time for the payment to be processed and reflected on the portal. Sometimes, there may be a delay in updating the payment status. To check if your confirmation is successful via the admissions portal, log in and click on the “alx” icon on the top left part of the screen. This will take you to the home page. Just next to the programme you have paid for, the status should now be “Confirmed”. If this is not the case within 48hrs of payment, please reach out to our support team with proof of payment.

11. I tried to make the monthly $30 payment, but it keeps saying that my account doesn’t have enough funds which is not true?

Like most payment platforms, there is a transaction fee that may be charged as you carry out your transaction. Please account for this as you make payment and have enough money in your account, so the transaction can take place. Once you make payment, you will receive a receipt of payment and your status on the admissions portal will change to “Confirmed”.

12. I have been trying to make my administration payment but Stripe keeps rejecting my card.

We would recommend that you try using Flutterwave instead. If the issue persists, please reach out to your bank, to find out if there is a limitation to using the two payment options. If that is not the case, please reach out to our support team for assistance.

ACCEPTANCE LETTER / EMAIL  

13. I have yet to receive my acceptance/decision email?

Once you complete your application, the next page on the admissions portal is the application decision, which notifies you of your acceptance into the programme and hosts the payment links for the three payment options. We currently do not have a separate acceptance letter as our acceptance communication is hosted on the admissions portal.

14. Please can you send me my acceptance email before I make payment?

Once you complete your application, the next page on the admissions portal is the application decision, which notifies you of your acceptance into the programme. You can however generate and download your invoice via the payment page, before making payment. In case this is not sufficient, please reach out to our support team and share your specific needs so we can assist you.

CASH AND MOBILE PAYMENTS 

15. Do you accept cash payments?

Cash payment option is only available for applicants in Morroco, through the payment links on the admissions portal.

16. Do you accept mobile payments?

Yes. If you would like to use mobile money, choose Flutterwave. Mobile money will be an option if it is available in your country.

17. I’m having issues making my payment through Stripe?

If you are having issues with any of the payment methods, please contact our support team with screenshots of the error message you are getting.

WHAT THE SPONSORSHIP COVERS 

18. If there are no other fees apart from the administration fee (300$), does that mean that there is no scholarship? what do you mean by tuition fee?

The tuition fee refers to the full cost of our programmes, inclusive of the administration fee, which starts at 7500 dollars. For sponsored applicants, the tuition fee is waived and you are only required to pay an administration fee, which helps support the cost of providing low-cost access to world-class programmes and maintaining the infrastructure and resources needed for your learning experience.

The fee covers various benefits, including access to study materials, a vibrant community of learners and mentors, networking opportunities, and a certificate upon completion of the programme.

19. I want a waiver or scholarship as I am unable to pay the administration fee?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate this request at this time. We will be sure to update you if anything changes. Our administration fee helps support the cost of providing low-cost access to world-class programs and maintaining the infrastructure and resources needed for your learning experience.

The fee covers various benefits, including access to study materials, a vibrant community of learners and mentors, networking opportunities, and a certificate upon completion of the program.

Paying the administration fee demonstrates your commitment to the programme and ensures that you have access to all the resources and support necessary for your success.
