During my time at ALX, I was able to gain more knowledge in certain skills like; calendar management, email management, data entry, scheduling, travel management, research and so much more. I was doing things beyond my imagination and I liked the changes it had in my personality. I was able to secure an internship position with a startup brand and it is a good opportunity for me to gain hands-on work experience as a virtual assistant.

My time at ALX has had a significant impact on both my life and career. The program provided me with the opportunity to learn new skills and apply them in real-world scenarios, which has boosted my confidence and competence in my field. Being part of the ALX community has also allowed me to connect with professionals from diverse backgrounds, broadening my perspective. and opening up new career opportunities. The collaborative environment and continuous support from peers and mentors have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, leading to personal and professional growth. Overall, ALX has equipped me with the tools and mindset needed to succeed in my career.

Looking back, my experience at ALX was more than just an educational endeavour—it was a transformative journey that reshaped my professional path. My ALX journey was like no other, really insightful and informative. It’s not just a course you are taking it’s a journey where ALX guides you to do hard things which suddenly feel like easy normal things. I have learnt so much and been exposed to so much in the space of 8 weeks that I could have in one year.

ALX has been a path to my journey as an aspiring remote worker.I have done a lot of courses online with no pathway but after finishing the ALX Virtual assistant course it kind of changed my mindset that I can be better the skill I have is enough to work and earn which kind of correct the imposter syndrome.

This program has given me the needed foundation to launch into my dream career. I came from an economics background and was scared of programming but with the ALX mantra of“Doing Hard Things” I gather the confidence to take things one day at a time and today, I am glad I did; ALX through the Data Science Program has planted a great seed that has already started bearing fruits.
