Meet Priscilla: When experience was limited, skills got her hired.

Before

The journey began on the campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (now UniMAC IJ). While completing National Service, she was beginning to explore the job market, aware of how unforgiving it can be for young professionals with short CVs and limited formal experience. She wasn’t desperate, but she was intentional. She knew she needed stronger positioning to compete in a space where potential is often overlooked in favour of years of experience. At that point, her challenge wasn’t ability. It was credibility and confidence in navigating the job market.

Decision and During

While still serving, she completed the AI Career Essentials (AiCE) programme. She learned how to structure her CV, optimise her LinkedIn profile, and approach job applications with clarity. Encouraged to apply for roles using the skills she was building, she began submitting applications through job boards she had been introduced to. When her first interview invitation arrived, she didn’t attend. She believed accepting a job would mean abandoning her National Service posting. It took a shift in perspective to realise that an interview — even an offer — didn’t mean walking away from her commitment. She attended the second interview. A third followed — one she almost skipped. That third interview changed everything.

After

The interview she nearly missed led to her current role as Client Service & Marketing Executive at i-Neema Ghana Limited. She walked into the interview as a National Service Personnel, with limited formal employment history. In many organisations, that would have ended the conversation early. Instead, i-Neema looked at her preparation, attitude, skills, and drive — and gave her a genuine opportunity. They hired her, supported her transition from National Service into full-time employment, and gave her space to grow. The impact followed.
She was later recognised internally after successfully securing a significant new client in a market the company was actively pursuing — a real business win that contributed directly to growth. Today, she continues to build her career in client service and marketing, focused on strengthening brand reputation, driving results, and delivering value — with a trajectory that began with preparation, courage, and showing up when it mattered.
