Before

Every university Afsa applied to in the United States said no. She had poured everything into those applications and the silence that came back felt like a verdict on her potential. It broke something in her.

Still carrying that weight she enrolled in ALX and everything shifted. The community pulled her in, replaced her sense of loss with belonging, and for the first time she wasn’t the girl who got rejected. She was someone building something and that distinction changed everything.

After

Today, Afsa is a Software Engineering graduate and a seasoned professional at Pontem Analytics, making real impact in the oil and gas industry. The rejections she once grieved are now the foundation she stands on.
