While you may be eager to jump straight into technical skills, this programme equips you with the 8 key meta-skills needed to thrive in any career in any field. These aren’t just academic concepts; they’re real-world, hands-on skills like effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leading yourself and others.

These are intensive, 16-week online programmes designed to equip aspiring creatives with industry-ready skills in specific creative tech fields. They focus on practical application, portfolio development, and career preparation.

The 2025 offerings include:

They are ideal for aspiring creatives who want to break into creative industries, even with little to no prior experience. They’re designed for individuals looking to turn a hobby or side hustle into a sustainable career.

A. Each program is 16 weeks long. Before starting the 16-week programme, all learners are required to have completed 12 weeks of Professional Foundations.

B. The Creative Tech Lite programs are 16 weeks long. However, learners must first complete 12 weeks of Professional Foundations.

Learners should expect to commit 20-30 hours per week.

Yes, for just $5 USD per month, you have unlimited access to the full suite of programmes offered by ALX.

ALX does not guarantee any specific employment or career outcome. The technical and professional skills learnt in the Creative Tech Lite programmes prepare you for the real world and give you the tools to build your own successful career.

Some are able to leverage their skills to get promotions and advance their own careers, while others use the skills they learn with ALX to start their careers from the ground up. Many ALX learners go on to work remotely or work in tech, which is an industry that will only continue to grow.

In order to access the ALX ecosystem and your chosen programme, you will be required to pay the $5 All Access, giving you unlimited access to the full ALX programme portfolio, community, events and activities, rewards, benefits and, of course, our partners.

If you meet our eligibility requirements and successfully register for an ALX Programme of your choice, the cost of your programme will be sponsored. 

You will be able to register for as many programmes as you like concurrently, so long as all prerequisite requirements and business rules are followed.

Learners can choose to pay either in their local currency or in USD. ALX fees are charged in USD and therefore are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

    NB. For all non-card transactions (such as bank transfers, Applepay, GooglePay, FawryPay or mobile transactions) a 2% non-refundable processing fee may apply.

All Access payments are non-refundable and compulsory for learners to complete their programme. You will not receive a refund if you are unable to complete the programme, however you will be able to pause your programme and restart your learning at a later date. Please note that the deferment cut-off dates vary by proramme and after these dates you would need to re-enroll into the next cohort.

A. ALX Learners have the option to defer their programme start date with the following guidance:

1. Your first All Access Payment is non-refundable: ALX All Access gives you access the full community, events, content and benefits and you will remain active on the system, even if you defer your programme start date. You will have the option to freeze your monthly payments until your deferred start date; in this case your next payment will be due by your new cohort start date.

2. You will not be able to carry your learning progress forward and will be required to start your cohort from week 1 – with exception of deferment after successful completion of Professional Foundations. Once a learner successfully completes Professional Foundations, deferment to any Tech Specialisation is possible in accordance with the learning calendar.

3. You will not be required to go through the admissions process and will be able to enroll into your new cohort through the ALX eHUB.

As long as you maintain the $5 USD All Access payment, you will retain access to all programme materials and the ALX ecosystem, even after completing your programme. Access to programme materials as well as all other ALX ecosystem benefits will be revoked if you stop making your $5 USD monthly All Access payment. You can gain access back to programme materials and the ALX ecosystem by paying the $5 USD monthly fee again.

The first All Access $5 USD payment is due on your programme start date. All subsequent payments are due one month from your programme start date. Payment reminders will be communicated with you through your eHub profile and over email. Should you miss your payment deadline, your eHub learning access will be paused. Your access will be restored again as soon as your payment is made.
