In order to access the ALX ecosystem and your chosen programme, you will be required to pay the $5 All Access, giving you unlimited access to the full ALX programme portfolio, community, events and activities, rewards, benefits and, of course, our partners.
If you meet our eligibility requirements and successfully register for an ALX Programme of your choice, the cost of your programme will be sponsored. You will be able to register for as many programmes as you like concurrently, so long as all prerequisite requirements and business rules are followed.
A. All accepted applicants are required to pay their first $5 USD monthly instalment by the start date of their chosen programme. You can complete your payment through the ALX eHUB, with a variety of payment options available. Following monthly payments will be due one month from your programme start date. (Ex. If your programme starts on 18th November 2024, the first payment is due on that day, and the second instalment is due on the 18th December 2024.)
B. You can either pay the $5 USD All Access yourself or have someone pay on your behalf. ALX accepts all major credit cards, Apple and Google Pay, PayPal, and mobile money payment options. Some markets have cash options as well.
C. Pay on a monthly basis or several months ahead on the ALX eHUB.
Learners can choose to pay either in their local currency or in USD. ALX fees are charged in USD and therefore are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
ALX accepts a wide variety of payment methods, including (but not limited to):.
All Access payments are non-refundable and compulsory for learners to complete their programme. You will not receive a refund if you are unable to complete the programme, however you will be able to pause your programme and restart your learning at a later date. Please note that the deferment cut-off dates vary by proramme and after these dates you would need to re-enroll into the next cohort.
The first All Access $5 USD payment is due on your programme start date. All subsequent payments are due one month from your programme start date. Payment reminders will be communicated with you through your eHub profile and over email. Should you miss your payment deadline, your eHub learning access will be paused. Your access will be restored again as soon as your payment is made.
A. ALX Learners have the option to defer their programme start date with the following guidance:
1. Your first All Access Payment is non-refundable: ALX All Access gives you access the full community, events, content and benefits and you will remain active on the system, even if you defer your programme start date. You will have the option to freeze your monthly payments until your deferred start date; in this case your next payment will be due by your new cohort start date.
2. You will not be able to carry your learning progress forward and will be required to start your cohort from week 1 – with exception of deferment after successful completion of Professional Foundations. Once a learner successfully completes Professional Foundations, deferment to any Tech Specialisation is possible in accordance with the learning calendar.
3. You will not be required to go through the admissions process and will be able to enroll into your new cohort through the ALX eHUB.
As long as you maintain the $5 USD All Access payment, you will retain access to all programme materials and the ALX ecosystem, even after completing your programme. Access to programme materials as well as all other ALX ecosystem benefits will be revoked if you stop making your $5 USD monthly All Access payment. You can gain access back to programme materials and the ALX ecosystem by paying the $5 USD monthly fee again.
